Bachelorette Party Game, fun for everyone
Seems like I always know someone getting married OR someone who is going to be a bride's maid and it just made me think about sharing a fun list game idea that I've planned and participated in at many bachelorette parties. Well - always a bride's maid? Congratulations! You get to have the most fun planning a memorable Bachelorette Party.
A Bachelorette party is a must for most brides. The bride's maids are usually the group responsible for hosting this event. Some brides will have strict guidelines about what they will and won't do at a bachelorette party. My best advice is to listen to them, and try to follow their advice, however, you need to make this event memorable and exciting. Below is a list of ideas and items I have found to be essential to the success of the bachelorette party. Most of these items can be purchased, or you can make your own. Just have fun.
Make or purchase a veil, for the Bride to Be to wear:
To make a veil, get a headband and affix, with hot glue, some white tulle (the sheer fabric on typical veils) Bring a camera, have party shakers or any type of noise makers, and use the Bachelorette party checklist (found below).
What to do:
Crown the Bride to Be with the veil. Designate someone to take photos and make sure the Bride to Be completes her mission. Pass out noise makers to guests. There are nine items on the mission checklist. I suggest you start a new one every 10 minutes. The Bride to Be must complete the mission and have her photo taken for each item on the checklist. There are nine checklist items for a total of 90 minutes of unforgettable Bachelorette Party Entertainment!
Checklist for the Bride to Be to complete:
Have your waitperson take a group picture
Get down on one knee and propose to someone in the restaurant
Find a woman wearing a wedding ring and ask her if you can try it on for size
Stand on your chair; get the restaurants attention and scream, “I Love (Fiancé’s name) We’re getting married!
Help the hostess greet some restaurant guests
Ask someone to use his or her cell phone to call your fiancé
Collect 5 men's business cards ask them to write a "good luck" message on the back of the card. (pass them to your eligible friends).
As a keepsake, Go from table to table and have people sign a menu from the restaurant
Have a guy serenade you
The Bachelorette party checklist is meant to be all in good fun. I would never want anyone to feel uncomfortable doing something, or cause an unnecessary scene at the restaurant. So use your best judgment in making the Bachelorette party a memorable time for everyone involved.
Of course, my blog wouldn't be complete if I did try to help you tie in the most awesome gift - a gift card. There are some unique ways to tie gift cards into this event. You could use a prepaid Vanilla Visa gift card to hand out to the girls at the party so no one has to keep up with their actual credit cards. I've even had the Bride to Be treat her guests to some drinks or snacks. She could purchase the gift cards ahead of time and pass them out to the guests as a party favor. Gift cards are versatile, convenient and awesome!!!
